I can send birthday cards this year and watch them arrive on time. All the birthdays I know - two dozen. For my sisters and brother I have always bought and sent. When there are three in January and one in April, I buy four at once and rearrange the colors of the envelopes to the cards. But a couple in-laws who have been around long enough and maybe a to-be, they'll get one and their sons and daughters. I want them to have cards from me.
Birthday cards. Find them on the day or stack them for a day or two prior or feel like there could be one more, for this year only, card in the next mail.
Such a story evolved yesterday into the night that recedes years and years. A thrilling, living night. So "Mission: Impossible."
